The Intoxicologist

Not just any Grappa will do for the Suprema Twist.  Look for Grappa with light sweetness to it without too much musty, hay overture in the aroma and follow through taste.  There are plenty of fabulous Grappas on the market.  Be choosy.  Suprema Twist is similar to the French 75 with definite Grappa flair.  Light and fruity with plenty of floral tones sparkling through from both the La Suprema Grappa Tocai and G’Vine Gin Floraison.  The lemon juice acts as a fantastic balance to bring out the delicious sweet notes in the Grappa.

.75 ounce La Suprema Grappa Tocai

.75 G’vine Gin Floraison

.5 ounce Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice

.5 ounce Bar Syrup

1.5 – 2 ounces Brut Champagne

Long Spiral Lemon Twist

Combine La Suprema Grappa Tocai, G’vine Gin Floraison, lemon juice and bar syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice.  Shake until chilled.  Strain into a tall champagne flute.  Top off with Brut Champagne.  Garnish with a long spiral lemon twist.
