October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month has come alive with pink themed everything being seen just about everywhere.  Most enjoyable has been watching NFL football with their continuing support to help raise public consciousness about a disease that strikes at the heart of families, friends and neighbors.  The color pink may clash with some people’s views of rugged masculinity and even the fashionable statement of which colors coordinate best with each team’s uniforms, but the sense of unity garnered from supporting such a highly regarded cause is heart touching and worthy.

Mid September The Intoxicologist site launched a 30 Days of Pink campaign in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Throughout this time cocktails have specifically been themed for the 30 Days of Pink while other pink drink recipes have gone to post within the context of fall cocktails, Halloween drinks or review listings.  Reader response has been amazing through searches for pink drinks.  Since these drinks are scattered throughout many areas the following listing will make it easier to find a larger sampling of pink cocktails and Mocktails.  This listing will be updated as often as possible. 

Bay of Passion

1 part 42BELOW Passionfruit Vodka

3 parts Pineapple Juice

2 parts Cranberry Juice

Finely Diced Ginger

Orange Twist Garnish

Combine liquid ingredients and diced ginger in a cocktail shaker with ice.  Shake to blend and chill.  Strain into highball glass over fresh ice.  Garnish with twist of orange.
