Though the Daiquiri is one of the “go to” classic cocktails of summer, there is no reason to leave it to deck worthy weather. Varying the cocktail with spicier rum and fruit flavors of the season take this favorite on into chillier months.
1-1/2 ounce Spiced Rum
1/2 ounce Pear Liqueur
3/4 ounce Lime Juice
1/2 ounce Simple Syrup
Combine liquids in cocktail shaker with ice. Shake to blend and chill. Strain into chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with thin slice pear dipped in allspice and sugar if desired. – I used Cruzan 9 Spiced Rum and Belle de Brillet Liqueur during the creation process.
