The Bitter End short drink is long on flavor with light pineapple with ever so slight dryness in the end; hence Bitter End. It is excellent as a single serve on the rocks drink or doubles as a party punch. This is a very versatile drink in my opinion. It works well for summer due to the fruit inclusion. But I love the dry spice Campari brings to the drink. This makes Bitter End great as an autumn cocktail with its spiced warming hints.

Bitter End – created by Cheri Loughlin

1 ounce Spiced Rum

1/4 ounce Campari

1/4 ounce Lime Juice

3/4 ounce Pineapple Juice

1/2 ounce Ginger Ale

Orange Twist Garnish

Build in rocks glass over fresh ice. Top with ginger ale. Garnish with orange twist.

Bitter end is suitable for celebrations! The name makes me think of Halloween parties. And bitter end has that wonderful orange glow, too. Perfect! Bitter end could also carry its way into Thanksgiving celebrations. Multiply the ingredients for batch serve. Save the ginger ale until just ready to serve. Measurements below.

Punch alternative: 24 ounces Spiced Rum, 6 ounces Campari, 6 ounces Lime Juice, 18 ounces Pineapple Juice, 12 ounces Ginger Ale. Thin sliced orange garnish. Place all liquids except ginger ale in 64 ounce pitcher. Stir. Refrigerate until time to serve. Serve in punch cups. Top with ginger ale. Garnish with thin slice of orange.
