Harvest Spiced Wine has fantastic spiced cherry flavor! Spiced cherry complements the dark cherry and raspberry flavors in the Barefoot Pinot Noir. The flavors weave a beautiful warming spice flavor that’s perfect for this time of year. All photos, recipes, comments and opinions are my own unless otherwise stated.

I enjoy an occasional mug of mulled wine, but not always interested in making a vat of it. This Harvest Spiced Wine is a recipe for one. If you want to make more for a roomful of people, just multiply each ingredient by the number of servings you’d like to make and heat it on the stove or make it in a crock pot.

Harvest Spiced Wine – recipe by Cheri Loughlin

6 Fresh or Frozen (thawed) Cherries – pitted

6 dashes each – Ground Clove, Cinnamon and Nutmeg

2 heaping Tablespoons Brown Sugar

1 ounce Cranberry Juice

1 ounce Orange Juice

5 ounces Barefoot Pinot Noir Wine

Place cherries in a large microwave safe container. Add spices, brown sugar and juices. Microwave for 1 minute on high. Lightly mash cherries with a fork or muddler. Add Barefoot Pinot Noir Wine. Microwave for 1 to 2 minutes. Keep an eye on the mixture so it does not bubble over in the microwave. Stir. Pour entire mixture into a heatproof mug. Serve hot.
