Classic cocktails thrive when creatively tweaked. This take on the traditional Bourbon Julep utilizes Irish Whiskey with Amaro twist. This is a must try cocktail for those with adventure on the lips this St. Patrick’s Day.

1/2 measure Amaro

1/2 measure Simple Syrup

1 measure Water

6 Mint Leaves

3 Mint Sprigs

Crushed ice

Muddle mint, simple syrup and water in a highball glass. Add crushed ice and Whiskey. Float Amaro on top. Garnish with mint sprigs.

Senor Patricks Salud - Cheri Loughlin Cocktail Development Services1/3 measure Butterscotch Schnapps

1/3 measure Irish Cream

1/3 measure Camarena Silver Tequila

Layer liquids in shot glass in order given. Layer liquids by placing Butterscotch Schnapps in bottom of glass. Slowly pour Irish Cream over back of bar spoon on top of schnapps. Finish with layer of Camarena Tequila Silver poured over back of bar spoon on top of Irish Cream. Liquids can also be shaken over ice and strained into shot glass if preferred.

1 ounce Red Bartlett Pear Puree

1/2 ounce Pear Liqueur

1/2 ounce Drambuie

Pear Slice Garnish

Combine liquids in cocktail shaker with ice. Shake thoroughly to blend and chill. Strain into chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with pear slice.

Fresh Brewed Coffee

Whipped Cream & Nutmeg Garnish

Place liqueurs in heat resistant mug. Top with fresh brewed coffee. Garnish with whipped cream and sprinkle of nutmeg.

2 barspoons Honey

Half Glass Lemon Triangles

Cut tops and tails off lemon triangles. Muddle in bottom cocktail shaker. Add whiskey and honey. Stir to dissolve. Add enough crushed ice to fill an Old Fashioned glass. Shake briefly to blend. Pour into Old Fashioned glass. Top off with additional ice if necessary.

Shots of Irish Gold

Though March 17 honors the death of Saint Patrick it is also a time of international celebration toasting the luck of the Irish. When St. Patrick’s Day rolls around the truly festive dye their hair green for luck, wear green to avoid finger pinches and drink green beer to celebrate. There are also rounds of shots at every bar stop.

1/2 ounce Goldschlager

Place Irish Cream in bottom of shot glass. Float Goldschlager on top by slowly pouring over back of bar spoon.

Pot ‘O Gold is also called Leprechaun’s Gold & Irish Gold. May also be shaken with ice & strained into shot glass.

1/2 ounce Irish Cream

Place Frangelico in bottom of shot glass. Float Irish Cream on top by slowly pouring over back of bar spoon.
