Blueberry Buckle Shot

Lots of blueberry sweetness featured front and center in this beautifully hued shot. Light, fruity and shoots straight to thrill. It’s enough to make you weak in the knees.

Blue Balls Shot

It’s Girls Night Out and you and the ladies just want time to mix it up alone. Trouble is, there’s a small cluster of men at the bar who just won’t take no for an answer despite your polite refusals of no interaction. Send them a bold message loud and clear.

Shot of Mischievous Pleasure

This song is stuck in my head; I Know What Boys Like by the Waitresses. The song was an 80’s pop hit from the album Wasn’t Tomorrow Wonderful. It’s a teasingly fun song with a bit of a mean streak. It reminded me of the cat and mouse game of Friday night shots. The potent little cocktails in a glass entice, tease and tempt, then strike with merciless results.

Still everyone loves a little shot of mischievous pleasure once in a while…

Shots of Irish Gold

Though March 17 honors the death of Saint Patrick it is also a time of international celebration toasting the luck of the Irish. When St. Patrick’s Day rolls around the truly festive dye their hair green for luck, wear green to avoid finger pinches and drink green beer to celebrate. There are also rounds of shots at every bar stop.

The Irish Hungarian Shot

Admittedly The Irish Hungarian received a little stir after the photo for thorough sipping. It’s rather good. It’s no wonder shots are a fave of Friday night revelers. My only wish is these little flavor packed goodies stayed on the tongue a little longer so they could really be savored.

2/3 ounce Irish Cream (chilled)

1/3 ounce Zwack (chilled)

Layer each in a shot glass in order given.  Shoot responsibly. Jager could be substituted for Zwack.

Flavor of the Irish Cream comes across first and then “Bam!” the spice of Zwack strikes with zing all over the taste buds. This would also be the perfect blend for weekend coffee.

Celebrating Single

Move over couples. Singles have their day. It’s Singles Awareness Day; S.A.D. This singles only holiday is the alternative celebration to the ‘most romantic couples only’ holiday; Valentine’s Day. Some choose to observe Singles Awareness (or Appreciation) Day on Valentine’s Day, but the day after sounds like the perfect time for a Girl’s Night Out on the town to me. Cheers!
