Knob Creek Bourbon Brooklyn Cocktail Recipe - Cocktail ClassicIn a world where the sexes are constantly striving to figure one another out, I thought it was time to ask the men what they found sexy…as it pertains to cocktails that is.  The questions:  What drink do you find most sexy for a woman to order at a bar? Be specific.  Why do you find that particular drink sexy?

Brooklyn Cocktail

2 ounces Knob Creek Bourbon

1 ounces Noilly Prat Dry Vermouth

1/2 teaspoon Maraschino Luxardo

1/2 teaspoon Amaro Ciocciaro

Stir well with ice.  Strain into chilled cocktail glass and twist swatch of thin-cut lemon peel over the top.

“The most sexy drink a woman can order at a bar has to be a specific bourbon on the rocks. When I say “a specific” bourbon, it really doesn’t matter which brand, but she needs to name the brand. The reason I find that sexy is that she knows what she wants and asks for it, sees through the marketing bullshit and knows bourbon isn’t just for men and also knows whiskey is better when it’s bourbon. That’s a woman you don’t want to mess with, but then again a woman that you’d love to.” – Jason Falls, www.socialmediaexplorer.com

The first thing you need to do is go to the Knob Creek website.  Second, register with The Stillhouse.  The Stillhouse lets you in on even more information than the basic website, so registering is worth the minute it takes.  You don’t need money or a credit card.  No need to draw blood or offer up your firstborn.  Your name, email and address are all it takes.  The labels are complimentary.  Now don’t get carried away with vulgarity and inappropriate language when you begin typing.  Respect the fact Knob Creek is offering a service.  Moderation is the best policy, so use discretion.

The Knob Creek recipe for an old-fashioned calls for 1-1/2 “parts” of Knob Creek.  What is a part?

A PART is whatever measurement you are using at the time.  If a part is 1-1/2 ounces, then half a part would be .75 ounces.  If you are using a 1 part, the half a part would be .5 ounces, and 2 parts would be 2 ounces.  If you use a gallon as a part, then half a gallon would be a half a part.  That way you can always have a drink taste the same no matter how big or small it is.  Makes sense, doesn’t it.
