Jack Daniel’s Tailgate Pigskin Punch Recipe

Fall weather brings a certain chill to the bone, but the high spirited action of football brings warmth to the air as college teams kick-off a weekend of gridiron play that lasts through to a Monday night football finish of professional play.  Tailgate parties and gathering around the big screen with friends call for good food and drinks with little preparation time and lots of great taste.  Jack Daniel’s Pigskin Punch can be made ahead for on the go serve for tailgate parties or service from the punch bowl for indoor parties around the big screen.  Either way this recipe is fit for a crowd with a non-alcoholic variation included in the directions.

Jack Daniel’s Gets Pink: Black Raspberry Margarita

Who says Jack Daniel’s has to be all about hard slamming, down and dirty drinking?  The Black Raspberry Margarita makes an extremely sweet drink with the ratios recommended by Chambord.  My recommendation: Skip the Sprite and top with two parts Club Soda to help balance the sugar factor.  All in all this makes a fabulous cocktail for all the female Jack fans who prefer a little ‘pretty in pink’.

Hennessy 44 Commemorates Inauguration of 44th President

Obama is sworn in as the 44th President of the US.   What else makes the news?

At precisely the time the 44th President of the United States took the oath of office, the Jack Daniels Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee (pop. 361) vowed to set aside a barrel of Tennessee Whiskey to mark this moment in history.  This special barrel will become the “Presidential Barrel” in President Obama’s honor.  Once this “Presidential Barrel” has completed the aging process, it will be bottled, sold and proceeds will go to benefit various charities.
