Fresh Pineapple Cocktail: Flaxen Froth
There is no reason to give up fresh fruit flavor when confined to the winter months. This little number combines fresh pineapple with the wonderful infused flavor of Van Gogh Pineapple Vodka into one refreshingly light cocktail that doesn’t become bogged down with too much added sugar. The egg white creates foamy texture that lightens the load while bringing a bit of delicate nature to this beautifully simple cocktail.
Flaxen Froth – created by Cheri Loughlin, The Intoxicologist
5 chunks Fresh Pineapple
2 ounces Van Gogh Pineapple Vodka
1 Egg White or 1-1/2 ounce Egg Beaters Egg White
Muddle fresh pineapple in bottom of mixing glass. Add Van Gogh Pineapple Vodka and egg white with half glass of fresh ice cubes. Shake vigorously to blend and bring mixture to nice frothy texture. Strain into martini glass.
If Flaxen Froth delights your senses, Pina Au natural is also sure to please the palate.

Holiday Dessert Cocktail: Crème Brulee
Try as I might, the brown sugar refused to adhere to the rim of the cocktail glass. The mission aborted and glass washed anew, I opted for a rock candy “Petits Batonnets Sucres” from Williams Sonoma as garnish instead. In my opinion this little garnish is more tasteful than a messy, sticky sugared rim anyway and doubles as a drink stir. The cocktail itself is sweet, but with a creamy edge. Crème Brulee contains excellent flavor possibly due to the inclusion of Licor 43.
Crème Brulee
1-1/2 ounce Van Gogh Vanilla Vodka
1 ounce Licor 43
1 splash Cream
Pour ingredients into cocktail shaker and add crushed ice. Let stand for five seconds. Shake vigorously for five seconds. Strain into martini glass. Rim glass with lemon juice and brown sugar.

White Christmas Cocktail Recipe: Minted Snowfall
It’s just a little early for a White Christmas, but never too early to get into the spirit of the season. The perfect cocktail to enjoy while watching a beautiful, fluffy white blanket of snow fall to the ground: Minted Snowfall using Hiram Walker Peppermint Schnapps with hints of espresso vodka and white chocolate in proper measure. This is one of my original cocktails created for Hiram Walker. Minted Snowfall smoothes out crisply with just the right amount of sweetness cooling out across the palate. Ideal for sipping by the fire or keeping within reach while baking in the kitchen.

Van Gogh Vodka Big Easy Breakfast Introduces Dutch Caramel & Triple Wheat Blue Vodka

Van Gogh Vodka provided a ‘Soul Stirring’ Big Easy Breakfast in the Soul Reviving Suite during Tales of the Cocktail ’09. During this delicious sponsored breakfast presenters and media guests were able to be among the first to sip Van Gogh’s newest flavor, Dutch Caramel. Just so you know – it is delightful!

Van Gogh Dutch Caramel flows just as creamy smooth and easily as all of the Van Gogh flavors. This Dutch Caramel flavor surprises as it does not come off sickly sweet, but rather slips across the palate just right exactly as the Double Espresso satisfies the taste buds. Two quick shots of Van Gogh Dutch Caramel (one ounce) is the perfect accompaniment to strong coffee and will be the perfect mixer for a wide variety of cocktails. More on Van Gogh Dutch Caramel in the future as this flavor releases nationwide.

Also introduced and displayed among the beautifully decorated tables, Van Gogh Vodka’s new Triple Wheat Van Gogh Blue Vodka. The bottle is lovely and so is the spirit inside.

Van Gogh prepared a lovely set up of fresh fruit and an assortment of pastries to get the morning off to a wonderful start. Many thanks to the bar staff who whipped up such tasty fresh fruit cocktails Friday morning’s Van Gogh Big Easy breakfast.
