Tomato Vodka Cocktail Ideas

In an effort to find tomato based vodka cocktails my search came up very empty handed.  My thought is there will be specific recipes trickling into data bases on the internet due to the Three-O Tomato Vodka or it will fizzle out and die as some infusion flavors do. The recipes below are a starting point to adapt cocktails using tomato vodka.  Play with them until they become one of your personal favorites.  Exchanging tomato infused vodka for the traditional plain vodka will add a richer, more thorough tomato flavor throughout your drink.  Clamato Juice, V8 Juice and simple tomato juice will spice up your flavor experience.  Do not forget spices in your refrigerator and spice cabinet for added zest.  These often will give more flavor than any Bloody Mary mix on the market. The recipes below also lack garnish.  Go for more than the celery stick.  Be clever and ingenious.

The Irish Hungarian Shot

Admittedly The Irish Hungarian received a little stir after the photo for thorough sipping. It’s rather good. It’s no wonder shots are a fave of Friday night revelers. My only wish is these little flavor packed goodies stayed on the tongue a little longer so they could really be savored.

2/3 ounce Irish Cream (chilled)

1/3 ounce Zwack (chilled)

Layer each in a shot glass in order given.  Shoot responsibly. Jager could be substituted for Zwack.

Flavor of the Irish Cream comes across first and then “Bam!” the spice of Zwack strikes with zing all over the taste buds. This would also be the perfect blend for weekend coffee.
