This Ruby mocktail is a refreshingly delicious grapefruit twist on the traditional gimlet. It’s a thirst quencher for sunny afternoons or rewarding pick-me-up after a long workout. Take this on into happy hour by adding an ounce and a half of gin or tequila if you prefer. While you’re at it plug it some head phones and rock out to the Kaiser Chiefs and “Ruby.”
Ruby Mocktail Recipe
Ruby – recipe by Cheri Loughlin, The Intoxicologist
1 ounce Lime Juice
1-1/2 ounce Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice
2 ounces Izze Sparkling Grapefruit
1/2 ounce Agave Nectar
Lime Wheel Garnish
Combine liquids in cocktail shaker with ice. Shake to blend and dissolve agave nectar. Strain into highball glass over fresh ice.
