Always on the hunt for simply assembled, classic styled cocktails with flavorful twist led me to the Hunter. Overproof bourbon allows the touch of rich cherry chocolate liqueur to weave itself throughout the cocktail in magical fashion.
Hunter
1-1/2 ounces overproof Bourbon
1/2 ounce Heering Cherry Liqueur
Combine liquids in mixing glass with ice. Stir to blend and chill. Strain into old fashioned coupe or small cocktail glass.
Not too sweet. Flavors mingle nicely without disguising the primary feel of either spirit. Bourbon stays warm and true with hints of cherry chocolate vanilla dancing lightly upon the tongue.
