The Neptune Sour is a variation on the basic classic sour recipe. However, this rum sour recipe exchanges Falernum for basic simple syrup. This gives the recipe more spice, making this drink ideal for fall and winter sipping.
Neptune Sour Drink Recipe
Neptune Sour – recipe by Cheri Loughlin, The Intoxicologist
2 ounces Shellback Spiced Rum
1 ounce Falernum
1 ounce Lemon Sour
Egg White
Grated Nutmeg Garnish
Combine liquids and egg in cocktail shaker with ice. Shake to chill and froth egg. Strain into large rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with grated nutmeg.
