Red Carpet Royalty is ideal for celebration events, Oscar watch parties, or evenings curled up with a good book. This drink is slightly warming with cinnamon sweetness and subtle hint of bitter in the finish. This is an excellent substitution for those who like the Negroni classic cocktail. This wine version is less potent and less bitter than the classic.
Red Carpet Royalty – recipe by Cheri Loughlin
2 ounces Sweet Vermouth – chilled
2 ounces Pinot Grigio Wine – chilled
2 dashes Classic Bitters – such as Angostura
Lemon Twist Garnish
Chill vermouth and wine for at least four hours before using. Place liquid ingredients into a mixing glass without ice. Stir briefly. Pour into a chilled cocktail glass. Cut a thin lengthwise strip of lemon peel. Twist the lemon peel over the cocktail so the essential oils from the peel release over the drink. Drop the peel into the drink.
