Not all St. Patrick’s Day drinks need to be green. This frozen drink contains lots of fruity cherry flavor with light sweetness. Its fruity concoction displays subtle whiskey warmth in the finish. It totally hits the spot.
Southern Irish Lass – recipe by Cheri Loughlin
2 ounces Irish Whiskey
3/4 ounce Southern Comfort 100 proof
1/2 ounce Fresh Lemon Juice
1 ounce Simple Syrup
15 Frozen Cherries – no sugar added
1 cup Ice
Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend until completely smooth. Pour into a Poco Grande glass. Serve with a straw.
I used Tullamore D.E.W. Irish Whiskey, Southern Comfort liqueur, and frozen tart cherries while creating this drink.
