We can all use a few tips for dressing up our drinks. The recipe below calls for assorted fruit of your choice as garnish. But seriously, I’m digging the orange slice pierced with whole cloves as shown in the photo. It reminds me of the many clove pierced whole oranges I made years and years ago during holiday times. Orange and clove adds such a wonderful aroma to the drink. Blast that aroma throughout the house by simmering orange peel, cinnamon sticks and whole cloves on the stovetop. Smells delicious!

Sherry Merry Punch

3 cups Zacapa Rum

1/4 ounce Pinot Noir Wine

1-1/2 cups Amontillado Sherry

1 – 750ml bottle Sparkling Wine – chilled

1 cup Sparkling Water – chilled

1 cup Fresh Lemon Juice

1/4 cup Honey

Assorted Fruit

Place lemon juice and honey in a large pitcher. Stir until honey is completely dissolved. Add rum, wine and sherry. Stir to blend. Top with sparkling wine and sparkling water. Stir gently so bubbles do not collapse. Pour into punch glasses over a large cube of ice. Garnish with fruit of your choice.
