VeeV in Fashion– created by Cheri Loughlin, adapted from the classic Old Fashioned
1-3/4 ounce Bourbon
1/4 ounce VeeV Acai Spirit
2-3 dashes Classic Bitters
Orange Slice & Maraschino Cherry Garnish
Build in an old fashioned glass over ice.
This new take on an old favorite is exceeding pleasant. VeeV’s unique light taste does not overtake the classic taste, but does blend in well so there is no granular sugar residue from the standard sugar cube used in the original recipe.
Float de Limão (Float the Lemon)– created by Cheri Loughlin
1-1/2 ounce Cachaca
1 ounce VeeV Acai Spirit
1/2 ounce Fresh Lemon Juice
1/4 ounce Simple Syrup
Lemon Wheel for Garnish
Place liquid ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake for 15 seconds. Place lemon wheel flat in the bottom of a cocktail glass. Strain contents of cocktail shaker on top of lemon wheel. It should rise to the top and float.
Float the Lemon allows the gentle sweetness of VeeV to flow through while the distinct flavor of Leblon Cachaca sways across the tongue like no other spirit can. Cachaca’s unique flavor is such that the tongue just wants to roll around and play with the spirit, envisioning the essence of Brazil.
VeeV Melon Drop– created by Cheri Loughlin
1-1/2 ounce Cachaca
1 ounce VeeV Acai Spirit
1/2 ounce Fresh Lemon Juice
1/4 ounce Simple Syrup
Lemon Wheel for Garnish
1/4 ounce Melon Liqueur
Place liquid ingredients except melon liqueur in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake for 15 seconds. Place lemon wheel flat in the bottom of a cocktail glass. Strain contents of cocktail shaker on top of lemon wheel. It should rise to the top and float. Carefully drizzle melon liqueur over the floating lemon wheel. The liqueur should settle to the well in the bottom of the cocktail glass forming the “drop” of the VeeV Melon Drop.
Melon Drop is simply one more ingredient added to the Float the Lemon. The addition of melon liqueur makes this an entirely different cocktail. Besides the green color for St. Patrick’s Day, the melon sets a fresh tone with sweetened, rounded edges over the cachaca with VeeV’s flavor still coming through lightly in the background.
