One might think the name says it all; Brazen Martini. It sounds like everything a girl needs to jumpstart an evening of good times, frolicking fun, teasingly tempting behavior and a taste of the naughtily wonderful. But does the Brazen Martini truly stand up to the blatantly obvious name of the audaciously shameless?
Brazen Martini – Atomic Cocktails
1/3 ounce Crème Yvette
Orange Twist Garnish
Combine ingredients in mixing glass with ice. Stir or shake to thoroughly chill. Strain into chilled martini glass. Garnish with freshly zested orange twist.
Brazen Martini definitely requires a completely chilled martini glass and thoroughly chilled mixture to be enjoyed for the first half. As soon as it begins to warm to room temperature, the flavors begin to deteriorate. The Brazen Martini begins taste worthy with wonderful flavor, but quickly begins to go the way of perfumed sweet rather than continuing with the first sips of lush violet lilt. While the word brazen brings to mind self-assured, confident and sometimes daring, the Brazen Martini leaves a bit of crassness on the tongue as the flavor blunders for something a little more to buffer between the opulent liqueur and straightforward spirit.
